Ahead of Come From Away resuming performances at the Phoenix Theatre, two new cast members have been named. Gemma Knight Jones and Sam Oladeinde will now star in the Olivier-winning musical, reopening from 22 July. Come From Away tickets are on sale now.

Gemma Knight Jones will take over the role of Hannah and others. Knight Jones was previously in Falsettos at The Other Palace, as well as national tours of Hairspray and Sister Act. Sam Oladeinde will take over the role of Bob and others, previously in Hamilton and The Book of Mormon.

The London cast is completed by Jenna Boyd, James Doherty, Mary Doherty, Mark Dugdale, Alice Fearn, Kate Graham, Alasdair Harvey, Jonathan Andrew Hume, Harry Morrison and Emma Salvo with Chiara Baronti, Ricardo Castro, Stuart Hickey, Sorelle Marsh, Alexander McMorran, Micha Richardson, Jennifer Tierney and Matthew Whennell-Clark.

Based on the stories of 7,000 air passengers diverted to Gander in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, Come From Away tells of a new resilient, international community that formed between strangers who became friends. Come From Away began performances in London in February 2019, winning Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards. Find out more about Come From Away here.

The musical is written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, who based the musical on true stories they discovered while in Newfoundland in 2011. Christopher Ashley directs, with scenic design by Beowulf Boritt, costume design by Toni-Leslie James, lighting design by Howell Binkley and sound design by Gareth Owen.

Come From Away is at the Phoenix Theatre from 22 July.
