Find out the full cast for the 25th anniversary of Patrick Marber’s Closer. Closer begins previews at Lyric Hammersmith on 14 July, ahead of an opening night on 20 July and performances to 13 August.

Closer follows four strangers: Dan, Alice, Anna and Larry. They're all in London, and they meet by chance, fall in love and then drift apart from one another. For the 25th anniversary production, director Clare Lizzimore will further explore topics of modern-day love, sex, and identity.

“For this 25th anniversary production of Closer, I’m most looking forward to Clare Lizzimore, a great director taking the play by the scruff of the neck and making it resonate for her generation,” said Marber.

“I’m also really looking forward to seeing these four brilliant actors make this play their own. The story has amassed a cult following for the play and the film and I believe it struck a chord amongst so many audiences because Closer is at heart, a love story.”

The Closer cast includes Jack Farthing, Ella Hunt Nina Toussaint-White, and Sam Troughton. The chorus includes Kane Feagan, Georgia-Rose Oliver, Sam Purkis and Wilf Walsworth.

Closer features set and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Richard Howell and movement direction by Malik Nashad Sharpe.

Closer premiered at the National Theatre in 1997 and won the Olivier Award for Best New Play.
