Casting for the world premiere of James Graham's newest play has been announced today. Pearl Mackie and Jessica Raine will star in the two-person play, set to receive its world premiere at Nottingham Playhouse.

Titled Bubble, the play will assess love in the time of Covid, as two people find 'the one' just before lockdown. Thinking about their futures, the pair have to decide whether they'll quarantine together or apart. Bubble is at Nottingham Playhouse from 23-24 October.

Pearl Mackie will play Ashley, best known for her role as Bill Potts in Doctor Who. Jessica Raine will play Morgan, with previous television credits including Jennie Lee in Call The Midwife.

Bubble will be performed as part of Nottingham Playhouse's Unlocked festival, championing live performances and future works. In addition to Bubble, the festival includes a concert led by West End stars Rosalie Craig, Sandra Marvin and Jodie Prenger, and Mark Gatiss reading ghost stories on Halloween.

As well as being performed live, streams will also be available for audiences not able to attend in person.
