UPDATE: In the Willows news added 1 February.

The online streaming service stream.theatre has worked with theatre company Perfect Pitch to present a series of new works. Titled Rise:Up, all productions are currently in development, with each episode focusing on one British production.

Upcoming productions in the February episode include 42 Balloons by Jack Godfrey, telling the true story of Larry Walters and Carol Van Deusen who made an aircraft with weather balloons and a lawnchair. Melanie La Barrie, Vicki Manser, Aaron Lee Lambert, Jack Shalloo, Georgie Westall, Madeline Charlemagne and Jake Halsey-Jones will sing in 42 Balloons.

Club Mex will also premiere next month, starring Jade Johnson. She'll play Mel, a tourist in Cancun as she experiences life in central America.

The final musical announced is In the Willows, transforming Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows by setting it in a British high school. Toad is now a rapper, with Rattie and Otter in a relationship, but it's up to Mole to speak up about her troubled past. Created by P Burton Morgan, Keiran Merrick and Pippa Cleary, there'll be guest performances from Tim Mahendran, Sharon Rose and Hiba Elchikhe.

The studio cast album of In the Willows was released on 1 February. You can listen to the six songs and watch a music video below.

Audiences can see the first episode of Rise:Up just before every performance on stream.theatre. More information can be found here.
