Gillian Tan and Blackwinged Creatives will present Pam Gems' play Piaf at the Bridewell Theatre in central London from 28 October to 14 November 2015, with an official opening on 30 October 2015.

Celebrating the centenary of Édith Piaf's birth, this new production of the classic play follows her success and tragedy in an ultimate life without regrets from destitute street singer to global phenomenon.

"Few people have glimpsed the darkness and pain under the glitter of Piaf's stardom. A tumultuous life of addiction, lovers, and deaths, held together by a burning passion for the stage, the story of the "Little Sparrow" gives us a searing account of the power and poison of fame."

The cast for the production includes Cameron Leigh (Édith Piaf ), Samantha Spurgin (Toine), Valerie Cutko (Marlene Dietrich), Kit Smith, Max Gallagher, and Maxime Yelle.

The production will be directed by Jari Laakso, with musical direction by Isaac McCullough. Movement is by Katya Bourviski, with design by Philippa Batt and lighting design by Chris Randall.

Tickets for the production are now on sale.
