Dancing show Tap Dogs, is returning to the West End for the first time in 13 years, when it opens at the Novello Theatre from 15 June 2010 - booking to 5 Sep 2010.
It is conceived & choreographed by Dein Perry and directed and designed by Nigel Triffitt. Produced by Back Row Productions.
Cast includes Adam Garcia, whose London credits include 'Fiyero' in Wicked at the Apollo Victoria in 2006/07; "On The Town" at the Coliseum in 2005; "Where Do We Live" at the Royal Court Upstairs in 2002;'Tony Manero' in "Saturday Night Fever" at the London Palladium in 1998; "Birdy" at the Comedy Theatre in 1997. He is also known as a Judge on Sky TV's reality show 'Got to Dance'.
The show features macho dancers swinging from scaffolding, teeter on planks and crashing against corrugated iron!
Tap Dogs had its world premiere at the Sydney Theatre Festival in January 1995, before playing at the Edinburgh Festival in the UK later that year. The show then had a run a Sadler’s Wells in London, before its West End run at the Lyric, Shaftesbury Avenue in 1996/97, for which Dein Perry won an Olivier Award for his choreography. The show has since been touring the UK & the world.
