The Dark Room by David Byrne at the New Diorama

Pit Theatre presents The Dark Room, by David Byrne, at the New Diorama Theatre, in north London, from 10 to 28 Apr 2012.

Inspired by Brecht's The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (with shades of American teen classic Mean Girls)

Transplants the dark world of underground gangsters into a modern secondary school. Replacing placards for projections and Kurt Weil's music for a loud pub band, this piece follows new girl Ruth as she blackmails and seduces her way to the top of her schools social ladder.
