The Graduate by Cygnet Players at Jubilee Theatre

Cygnet Players presents The Graduate, directed by Gavin Murphy, at Jubilee Theatre, at Roehampton University, in south west London, from 4 to 8 June 2013.

The Graduate is based on the novel by Charles Webb and the screenplay by Calder Willingham and Buck Henry. Adapted for the stage by Terry Johnson.

It's 1963 in California. Benjamin Braddock arrives home from college, wanting desperately to know what his purpose is in life. Along comes his father's business partner's wife, Mrs Robinson, who makes him an offer he can't refuse. And so begins an illicit affair. But will this be the solution that Benjamin is looking for? Should he follow his head, or his heart?

Cygnet Players was established as an amateur musical theatre group in 1997, and are NODA affiliated. The company is run by a small committee who donate their time to ensure both artistic and financial success for the company. Cygnet Players performs shows or concerts twice yearly, as well as an annual play. Cygnet Players membership are aged from 16 - 60.
