Producer James Seabright said: “The birth of this magical new musical has been a five -year journey to date, so a small final delay only heightens the air of suspense! Thankfully we are only having to postpone the streaming schedule by a month.”

Based on Goethe’s poem of the same name, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is set in a small, Scandinavian town that’s collapsing. In order to save their home, a sorcerer and his small daughter work together, using their magical powers to rescue a community.

The cast is completed by Tom Bales, Nicola Blackman, Dawn Hope, Mary Moore, Marc Pickering, Ryan Pidgen, Yazdan Qafouri, Vicki Lee Taylor, Kayleigh Thadani and David Thaxton.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is a brand new musical, written by Richard Hough and Ben Morales Frost. Charlotte Westenra directs, with choreography by Steven Harris.

To make up for the delay, a music video has been released, featuring Mary Moore and Yazdan Qafouri singing “Spellbound” which you can watch below.

The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is now available to stream from 26 February - 14 March. More information can be found here.
