
New cast announced for 'Titanique' in the West End
Titanique is a musical parody of James Cameron's epic 1997 film starring Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, and won Best New Entertainment or Comedy Play at the Olivier Awards this year.
New cast members have been announced for the West End company of Titanique, including a new performer in the role of Céline Dion.
Astrid Harris will take over the role of Céline Dion from 15 July, having performed as the French-Canadian singer in the French production since April. Lauren Drew originated the role in the West End and was Olivier nominated for the part.
From Tuesday 22 July, Jenny O’Leary (We Will Rock You) will begin performances as Molly Brown, having also performed in the Paris production. She takes over as maternity cover for Charlotte Wakefield.
The rest of the cast includes Luke Bayer as Jack, Darren Bennett as Victor Garber / Luigi, Richard Carson as Cal, Hiba Elchikhe as Rose, Carl Mullaney as Ruth, Tosh Wanogho-Maud as The Iceberg, Adrianne Langley, Madison Swan and Rodney Vubya as on-stage background vocalists, as well as offstage understudies Freddie King and Caitlin Tipping.
