Concert of the Secret Garden Information
Performances of The Secret Garden at the Adelphi Theatre are cancelled. Information on new dates are to be announced.
Lucie Jones, Jac Yarrow and Ramin Karimloo are set to star in a concert version of Marsha Norman & Lucy Simon's Tony Award-winning musical The Secret Garden, based on the 1911 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett at the Adelphi Theatre in November 2020.
The musical is tells the story of a young British girl who has grown up in India, but is forced to move away after a lethal outbreak of cholera. She is sent to Yorkshire where she lives with family and relatives she has never met, and begins to learn more about herself in the process.
The Secret Garden was first seen in London in 2001 when the RSC's production directed by Adrian Noble transferred to the Aldwych Theatre. It returned in 2016 for a revival at the Ambassadors Theatre with a cast of child actors.
This concert version will be directed by Nick Winston, and will run on 4th April 2020.
