Guys and Dolls Information
Luck be a lady tonight! Get ready to be swept up in Manhattan and Havana all in one night at Guys and Dolls at the Bridge Theatre. Guys and Dolls tickets are available on London Theatre now.
The Guys and Dolls musical follows Nathan Detroit, a Manhattan gambler who needs to find a new location for his crap shooting games, pronto. He’s helped by Sky Masterson, who takes a chance on Nathan, settling their deal on a bet: Nathan bets Sky that he can’t take a woman of his choosing on a date. But as they meet their “doll,” Sarah Brown, the odds of falling in love go down until it’s almost inevitable.
Guys and Dolls is a favourite with London audiences. The musical first came to London in 1953, and was performed in front of Queen Elizabeth II during her first year as monarch. Since then, Guys and Dolls has been revived a further four times, most recently in London in 2015 starring Pitch Perfect’s Rebel Wilson as Miss Adelaide.
Guys and Dolls is based on Damon Runyon’s short story collection, but notably two works: “Blood Pressure” and “The Idyll of Miss Sarah Brown.” Both tales transport readers into the beating hearts of Manhattan and Havana.
In Guys and Dolls at the Bridge Theatre, expect to be thrown into the musical like never before. The immersive adaptation will allow audiences to join the characters throughout the show. When booking Guys and Dolls tickets, you can choose a standing ticket in the pit. Or you can watch the action unfold in seated sections.
Even though Guys and Dolls will be staged differently, expect to hear all the well-known Frank Loesser songs: “Luck Be a Lady, “Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat,” “A Bushel and a Peck,” and “Adelaide’s Lament.” Get ready for London’s coolest theatre experience, coming to you in 2023.
