Join Dougal and Robin on their journey across New York City in this new British musical at the Kiln Theatre. Book Two Strangers (carry a cake across New York) tickets on London Theatre.
Two Strangers (carry a cake across New York) is a musical that follows Dougal, an optimistic Brit en route to New York for his father's second wedding, and Robin, the bride's sister, who collects him from the airport. Amidst their quest to transport a cake across the bustling city of New York, an unlikely camaraderie blossoms between them.
The musical stars Olivier Award-winning actor Sam Tutty (Dear Evan Hansen, Once on This Island) as Dougal and Dujonna Gift (Hamilton, Motown: The Musical) as Robin. Formerly known as The Season, the show had successful runs in Northampton and Ipswich and now premieres in London at the Kiln Theatre with a repertoire of catchy songs, including “Carry a Cake Across New York,” "The Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me," and "The Only One for Me."
Jim Barne and Kit Buchan wrote Two Strangers, which features direction and choreography by Tim Jackson. The creative team also includes designer Soutra Gilmour, lighting designer Jack Knowles, sound designer Tony Gayle, music director Sean Green, and music orchestrator Lux Pyramid.
