About Frank & Percy

Ian McKellen and Roger Allam bring this witty new play to the London stage for a limited time only. Book Frank and Percy tickets are available on London Theatre now.

Don’t miss your chance to see stage and screen legend Ian McKellen and Olivier Award-winner Roger Allam team up to take on this poignant and heartfelt new play in the intimate setting of The Other Palace this autumn.

Frank and Percy invites us to cherish life’s little things in this moving tale about the human connection. Come and overhear the conversations between widowed schoolteacher Frank and elder statesman Percy as they share thoughts about their dogs, the weather, and even ponder the meaning of life itself, all while forging an unexpected bond.

Ben Weatherill is transferring his new comedy play to its new off-West End home after two successful runs at the Theatre Royal Windsor and the Theatre Royal Bath earlier this year. The creative team, including designer Morgan Large, lighting designer Nick Richings, and sound designer Andy Graham, will be part of the production.

This play will also mark the launch of The Other Palace’s new writing development fund, which will allocate 50p from each ticket sold to support the development of new writing and emerging playwrights.

Who is in the cast of Frank & Percy?

The renowned actor Ian McKellen, known for his roles in The Lord of the Rings and X-Men, will portray Percy. Olivier Award-winner Roger Allam, acclaimed for his performance in Les Misérables, will join him in the production. The pair previously performed together on stage at the Old Vic in the pantomime Aladdin. Frank and Percy mark their reunion on stage after almost twenty years.

Delightful, Absorbing, Romantic, Great acting, Entertaining

See it if The acting is great, and it's never boring. McKellan is very cheeky in this, bringing the audience with him in the jokes. Allam is lovely

Don’t see it if I think the writing isn't quite up there, it's not Alan Bennett or Samuel Beckett. It could be a bit shorter and sharper.
