About Kinky Boots The Musical

Kinky Boots is a musical based on a true story and a beloved film. It follows Charlie Price, a man who happens to inherit his family’s struggling shoe factory business. However, with the business struggling and his personal life experiences far from secure, Charlie is quickly running out of options. That is, of course, until he meets Lola, a glorious drag queen and unexpected friend with a bold idea that could change the company, and Charlie’s, future forever. As the two of them form a friendship, they begin to discover that saving Charlie’s business might also mean changing themselves and the people around them.

Since it first made its mark on Broadway and in the West End, Kinky Boots has become a fan-favorite, being celebrated for its humour and messages of love and acceptance. This show features a book by Harvey Fierstein and a score by Cyndi Lauper, whose music gives this show its irresistible energy.

The cast also includes Courtney Bowman as Lauren, Billie-Kay as Nicola, Billy Roberts as Don, Rachel Izen as Pat, Jessica Daley as Trish, Jonathan Dryden Taylor as Mr. Price, Scott Paige as George, and Liam Doyle as Harry.

With direction by Nikolai Foster, choreography by Leah Hill, set design by Robert Jones, costume design by Robert Jones and Tom Rogers, lighting by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Adam Fisher, Kinky Boots promises a night of lovable songs and enormous heart.
