Sinatra The Musical is a musical that begins by transporting audiences to New Year’s Eve of 1942, when 27-year-old Frank Sinatra is about to walk onto the stage of New York City’s Paramount Theatre. His voice is about to capture a nation, but things aren’t always as they seem, as his personal and professional life are becoming increasingly complicated. As his career is rising in success, Sinatra is caught between his first wife, Nancy, and movie star Ava Gardner, while a scandal threatens to turn everything he has built upside down.
This production follows the young star from the early days of his fame through his personal crisis and professional life, tracing how a star was made whose art became inseparable from American musical history. This show features more than 20 of Sinatra’s classic songs.
Joel Harper-Jackson takes on the lead role as Frank Sinatra, with Ana Villafañe as Ava Gardner and Phoebe Panaretos as Nancy Sinatra. The cast also includes Jenna Russell as Dolly Sinatra, Marty Maguire as Marty Sinatra, Lee Zarrett as George Evans, and ensemble members playing big names including Nat King Cole, Lana Turner, Tommy Dorsey, Gene Kelly, Judy Garland, Billie Holiday, and Marlene Dietrich.
