Be brought into the lively experience of the Jellicle Ball under the stars in CATS, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s global musical sensation, reimagined in a glimmering new production at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre. Book CATS tickets on London Theatre.
CATS is a musical based on T.S. Eliot’s Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats, gathering London’s strays and Jellicle cats for one extraordinary night of theatre. Under the Jellicle moon, the cats come together in the hopes that one of them will be chosen by Old Deuteronomy to ascend to the Heaviside Layer to begin a new life.
This open-air production brings CATS to audiences for a strictly limited summer season before it embarks on a major UK tour through July 2027. The show is directed and choreographed by Drew McOnie, the Artistic Director of Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, giving Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical a fresh setting in one of London’s most unique venues.
Since its world premiere, CATS has been staged in over 54 countries, translated into 23 languages, and has been seen by more than 77 million people worldwide. The Broadway cast recording also won the Grammy Award for Best Cast Album.
CATS in London boasts a formidable cast, including Gary Wilmot as Gus, Melanie La Barrie as Old Deuteronomy, Rachael Wooding as Grizabella, Diante Lodge as Macavity/Admetus, Jet Yau as Mr. Mistoffelees/Quaxo, Jaydon Vijn as Rum Tum Tugger, Jack Wilcox as Munkustrap, Millie O’Connell as Demeter, Charlotte Riby as Jennyanydots, and Lucie-Mae Sumner as Jellylorum.
The creative team includes set, costume, and wigs designer Sami Fendall, lighting designer Jessica Hung Han Yun, sound designer Adam Fisher, and resident director and choreographer Josh Baker.
With a phenomenal new staging and a major West End cast, CATS returns to London in the show of the season.
