Glengarry Glen Ross is a play set in a skeevy real estate office in Chicago, following four agents caught up in a hard-nosed sales competition. The first prize is a Cadillac, the second prize is a set of steak knives, and those coming in third and fourth are fired. With their jobs on the line and their best leads out of reach, the agents cheat and steal their way to the top.
Glengarry Glen Ross in London was first performed in 1983, becoming one of the most defining American dramas of the late 20th century. Its rapid-fire dialogue and sharp writing paint a picture of four desperate salesmen operating in a world ruled fiercely by money and obsession with capital, turning them against one another. The play won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and was later adapted into the cult-classic 1992 film.
Tony Award-winning director Patrick Marber stages this Old Vic revival, and this staging marks the play’s first all-female reimagining. Rosa Salazar stars as Roma, with Indira Varma as Levene, Mercedes Bahleda as Lingk, Nancy Crane as Aaronow, Dorothea Myer-Bennett as Williamson, Florence Odumosu as Baylen, and Niky Wardley as Moss.
This show also introduces a masterful creative team, including set and costume designer Rob Howell and lighting designer Sally Ferguson. Performed at The Old Vic’s in-the-round configuration, this production brings Mamet’s high-energy world of betrayal into an intimate setting with sharp focus.
Darkly witty and hard to swallow, Glengarry Glen Ross remains a fantastic portrayal of capitalism and the compromises we are willing to make with our own morality when faced with our greatest desires.

This production is most recommended for audiences ages 16 and above, as it contains strong language, racism, misogyny, and anti-Hindu sentiment, as well as themes of domestic and sexual abuse.
This production is a phenomenal option with Patrick Marber directing an all-female cast for the very first time, led by Rosa Salazar and Olivier Award-winner Indira Varma. This revival of a cult classic offers a fresh staging of Mamet’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play about the deception involved in ambition run wild.
