Thelma dreams of escaping her unhappy home life when her best friend Louise suggests they hit the road and leave town for a weekend alone. But when a disturbing encounter takes place during their trip, it changes everything and sends the women on a journey neither of them could have anticipated taking.
Thelma & Louise: A New Musical in London centers around what was supposed to be a brief break from the world that was weighing so heavily on the women, but becomes a life of rebellion and a determination to lead their own futures, deciding what happens to them on their terms.
Amy Lennox (Cabaret, Kinky Boots) plays Thelma with Rachel Tucker (Wicked, Come From Away) as Louise. The company also includes Trevor Dion Nicholas as Hal, Jordan Luke Gage as JD, Samuel Edwards as Darryl, and Rushand Chambers and Alex Gibson-Giorgio, along with a larger company.
Original screenwriter Callie Khouri comes back to the story after more than three decades since the film’s release, writing the book for its musical adaptation. Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Neko Case provides the music and lyrics, spotlighting her musical voice as it navigates the women’s journey.
Trip Cullman directs the world-premiere production, joined by a formidable creative team, including choreography by Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber, costume design by Ryan Dawson Laight, lighting design by Natasha Chivers, and sound design by Gareth Owen.

Was very pleasantly surprised. Liked the score and the two leading ladies were super. Remembered the story but actually they managed to give it the same upbeat feel at the end which was great.
The chemistry Rachel and Amy is incredible! Must see! Love how their vocals blend!!
