Now, her life and music are coming to life in a smashing musical at Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre, starring Alexandra Burke as the woman behind the songs.

I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical is a musical following Khan from her early life in Chicago all the way to her journey into global stardom, tracing the triumphs and the costs that come with becoming an icon. This production also explores her civil rights activism, the various pressures that come with the music industry, her experiences with addiction, motherhood, and the ups and downs that would shape her life.

I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical in London also brings figures from Khan’s world onto the stage, including Joni Mitchell, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Steve Winwood, Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston, and Miles Davis.

Alexandra Burke stars as Chaka Khan, with Jordan Frazier as alternate Chaka Khan. The cast also includes Chrissie Bhima, Ashley Stroud, Charlotte St. Croix, Miles Anthony Daley, Jelani Munroe, Sophie Earl, and Chris Breistein.

This production has a book by Nia T. Hill and is directed by Racky Plews, with choreography by Ebony Clarke, musical supervision by Mark Crossland, set design by Sara Perks, costume design by Natalie Pryce, lighting design by Zoe Spurr, and sound design by Chris Whybrow.
