‘Ain’t Too Proud - The Life and Times of the Temptations' sets full West End cast

The jukebox musical based on the lives and careers of those in the Motown vocal group will begin performances at the Prince Edward Theatre in March 2023.

Get ready, cause here they come! Check out the full cast for Ain’t Too Proud in London. The musical begins previews at the Prince Edward Theatre on 31 March, ahead of an opening night on 20 April.

As previously announced, the quintet of Temptations actors include Cameron Bernard Jones as Melvin Franklin, Kyle Cox as Paul Williams, Sifiso Mazibuko as Otis Williams, Tosh Wanogho-Maud as David Ruffin and Mitchell Zhangazha as Eddie Kendricks.

The full company includes Evonnee Bentley-Holder, Natalia Brown, Ryan Carter, Hannah Fairclough, Christopher Gopaul, Daniel Haswell, Naomi Katiyo, Akmed Junior Khemalai, Holly Liburd, Darnell Mathew-James, Simeon Montague, Posi Morakinyo, Sadie-Jean Shirley, Michael James Stewart, Toyan Thomas-Browne, Dylan Turner and Kevin Yates.

The Ain’t Too Proud musical dramatises the story of the Motown vocal group. Although they achieved 42 top 10 hits, their personal and political conflicts nearly tore the group apart. Ain't Too Proud features an original story by Detroit-based playwright Dominique Morisseau. The show reunites director Des McAnuff with choreographer Sergio Trujillo; there's also scenic design by Robert Brill, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley and sound design by Steve Canyon Kennedy.
