Black Bread & Cucumber, written and performed by Caroline Blakiston, at Jermyn Street Theatre, an off West End venue in Piccadilly, central London, from 5 to 23 Oct 2010.

A One-woman show about how Caroline Blakiston made history as the first British actress to play Chekhov in Russia, in Russian.

She played Charlotta in The Cherry Orchard in Russian. First in 1991 at the Dramatichesky Teatr in Taganrog - the town on the Sea of Azov in southern Russia where Anton Chekov was born. Then, in 1992 at the Moscow Art Theatre in the long-running production by Oleg Yefremov.
