BOLSHOI BALLET IS RETURNING TO LONDON

The world famous Bolshoi Ballet Is Returning To London. Stars in the Bolshoi Ballet, will play a four week season at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, with three diffrent programmes, opening on 25th April 01 until 19th May 01. 

The stars will include SVETLANA LUNKINA, ANNA ANTONICHEVA, NINA KAPTSOVA, MARIA ALLASH, ANASTASIA GORIACHEVA, MARIA ALEXANDROVA, INNA PETROVA, GALINA STEPANENKO DMITRY GUDANOV, SERGEI FILIN, ANDREI UVAROV, YAN GODOVSKY and NIKOLAI TSISKARIDZE. These star soloists will be performing with the Bolshoi Corps de Ballet and the orchestra will be Bolshoi Ballet Orchestra, under conductor Alexander Kopylov. 

The season will be under the artistic direction of Boris Akimov. 

The opening programme, which will play from 24th Apr to 3rd May, will be "SWAN LAKE" Act 2 and  Divertissements including "FLOWER FESTIVAL AT GENZANO", Adagio from "RAYMONDA" and pas de deux from "THE NUTCRACKER", "GISELLE" and  "DON QUIXOTE".

The second programme, playing from 4th to 10th May, will be "CHOPINIANA" and Divertissements including "NARCISSUS" and pas de deaux from "LA SYLPHIDE", "LA FILLE MAL GARDEE", "ROMEO AND JULIET", "THE SLEEPING BEAUTY", and "LE CORSAIRE". 

The final programme, playing from 11th to 19th May, will be "LA BAYADERE" Act 3 'Kingdom of Shades' and Divertissements including "LE SPECTRE DE LA ROSE", DYING SWAN", Auber's "GRAND PAS CLASSIQUE" and pass de deux from SSWAN LAKE" Act III, "FLAMES OF PARIS" and "DON QUIXOTE".
