French-revolutionary history gets a unique spin in Cake: The Marie Antoinette Playlist, which will run at the Garrick Theatre for a strictly limited period.
Casting for the limited West End run of Cake at the Lyric Theatre has been announced, with Kandaka Moore (Sylvia) playing Nicole and Roger Dipper (A Christmas Carol) portraying Cardinal.
Completing the cast are Ope Sowande (Moulin Rouge), Elizabeth Fullalove (Starlight Express), Travis Kerry (Hamilton), and Jane Albertsen (Hamilton).
Zizi Strallen (Mary Poppins) as Marie Antoinette and Renée Lamb (SIX) as Jeanne will reprise their roles from the UK tour earlier this year, as previously announced.
Cake retells the story of Marie Antoinette's reign, which was overshadowed by gossip and scandal. The new musical boasts an award-winning creative team, including Olivier Award-winner Drew McOnie (In the Heights, Jesus Christ Superstar), Morgan Lloyd Malcolm (Emilia), Tasha Taylor Johnson (The Cat In The Hat), and singer-songwriter Jack McManus.
