The multi award-winning Broadway production of Buena Vista Social Club will come to London in 2027.

Inspired by true events, the musical is set in Havana, Cuba and moves from the 1950s to the 1990s, showing how the sounds of Cuba were brought to a worldwide audience.

It follows the lives of four prominent musicians, the effects of Communism, and their eventual collaboration in 1997 on the landmark album "Buena Vista Social Club". The show is the first musical to feature a score sung entirely in Spanish, with the musical styles of son, danzón, and bolero.

Following an acclaimed 2023 Off-Broadway run at the Atlantic Theater Company, the production opened on Broadway at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre in March 2025 and launched its national tour in September 2026.

The show has won a Grammy Award, five Tony Awards and in 2027 it will open in the West End for the very first time.
