Cast and creative team announced for 'Nine Night' at the Kiln Theatre

Directed by Artistic Director Amit Sharma, Nine Night follows three generations of a London family as they gather at a traditional Jamaican wake.

The full cast and creative team has been revealed for a new revival of Natasha Gordon’s Nine Night, which begins performances at the Kiln Theatre in London on 12 November, running through 2 January 2027.

The cast includes Sonya Cassidy (Reacher) as Sophie, Estella Daniels (Treasure Island) as Trudy, Llewella Gideon (Mr Loverman) as Auntie Maggie, Ava Hinds-Jones (Generation Z) as Anita, Gary McDonald (Oedipus) as Uncle Vincent, Dani Moseley (Dreaming Whilst Black) as Lorraine, and Javone Prince (PhoneShop) as Robert.

The creative team also includes set and costume designer Libby Watson, lighting designer Rory Beaton, sound designer and composer Mwen, movement director Kloé Dean, and voice and dialect by Hazel Holder and Claudette Williams.

Sharma said: “I can’t wait to start rehearsals with this absolute powerhouse of a cast. Natasha's play captures a family seeking love, dealing with loss, and with family secrets that come to the fore. And it's funny - boy, is it funny! We are all itching to do this seminal play proud!”

Gordon said: “I’m so thrilled to be reviving Nine Night at Kiln Theatre. With a knockout cast, under Amit’s direction, I’m excited to revisit the play.”
