Cecilia Noble and Mark Monero to star in ‘Is God Is’ at Royal Court
Aleshea Harris’ play will run in London in September.
Mark Monero makes his Royal Court debut in Is God Is. Previously, Monero has starred in Antigone at Theatre Royal Stratford East and One Man Two Guvnors at the National Theatre. He’s joined by Cecilia Noble who returns to the Royal Court, previously in Liberian Girl and The Sacred Night. Noble’s West End credits include The Welkin, Faith, Hope & Charity and Nine Night all at the National Theatre.
The Is God Is cast is completed by Vivienne Acheampong, Adelayo Adedayo, Ray Emmet Brown, Ernest Kingsley Jnr, Tamara Lawrance and Rudolphe Mdlongwa.
Is God Is follows 21 year old twins Racine and Anaia as they travel from the American South to a house in the California desert. As they travel across the United States, the twins look to avenge their pasts.
Ola Ince will direct Is God Is, with scenic design by Chloe Lamford, costume design by Natalie Pryce, lighting design by Simisola Lucia Majekodunmi, sound design by Max Perryment and choreography by Jordan ‘JFunk’ Franklin.
