Be "welcomed to the rock" once more, thanks to a Come From Away reunion event, taking place online in December. The Come From Away writers and creatives will come together for a livestreamed event, available to watch on YouTube on 19 December at 7:30pm

Hosted by Simon Greiff, the Come From Away reunion event will allow audiences to discover more about the musical's creation. Audience members can submit questions for all participants, including the musical's writers Irene Sankoff and David Hein.

Those taking part include Jonathan Andrew Hume, who originated the role of Kevin J, Ali and others in the West End production. He'll be joined by director Christopher Ashley, musical stager Kelly Devine, musical supervisor and arranger Ian Eisendrath, producer Sue Frost, Michael Rubinoff from Sheridan College and the Canadian Music Theatre Project. International cast members taking part include Caesar Samayoa from the Broadway production, Barbara Fulton from the Toronto production and Christine Toy Johnson from the North American tour.

Based on real-life events after 9/11, Come From Away tells of the 7,000 air passengers redirected to Gander, with the small Newfoundland community welcoming the stranded with open arms. Opening at the Phoenix Theatre, Come From Away won four Olivier Awards in 2019, including Best New Musical.

In a five-star review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, Mark Shenton said: "They have carefully distilled and dovetailed some of those stories into an alternately poignant and uplifting musical, embedded in a rich folk score that draws on authentic Canadian influences."

All profits from the event will be donated to Acting For Others. More information about the event can be found here
