Complete cast set for 'The Oresteia' at the Bridge Theatre

Simon Stone's new twist on the trilogy of Greek tragedies sees a contemporary family wake up in a Greek myth, unable to find a way out of their hellish destiny.

Complete casting has been announced for The Oresteia, written and directed by Simon Stone (after Aeschylus and others). The show begins performances at the Bridge Theatre on 2 July, running through 19 September.

Joining the previously announced Mary-Louise Parker as Montie, David Morrissey as Christopher, Tom Glynn-Carney as Augie, Rosie Sheehy as Alice, Lloyd Hutchinson as Melville, John Macmillan as Jerome and Archie Madekwe as Lorenzo are Alyth Ross (The Woman In Cabin 10) as Jenny and Rakhee Thakrar (Sex Education) as Chandra.

The understudies are Seán Donegan, George Renshaw, Andy Umerah, Emily Waters, and Kirsty Yates.

The creative team also includes set designer Lizzie Clachan, with music by Stefan Gregory and lighting design by Nick Schlieper.
