Emma Kingston to star in ‘Heathers’ at The Other Palace

The new cast will play their first performance later this month.

Following the news that Heathers will reopen The Other Palace under its new ownership, the cast has been announced. Heathers is at The Other Palace from 25 November.

Ailsa Davidson will make her West End debut as Veronica Sawyer  a role originated in London by Carrie Hope Fletcher. Freddie King will make his West End debut as JD.

The Heathers will be played by Emma Kingston as Heather Chandler, returning to the West End after being in shows including Evita and In The Heights. Inez Budd will make her West End debut as Heather Duke, with Teleri Hughes as Heather McNamara, having previously understudied the role at the Theatre Royal Haymarket this summer.

The cast will also feature Vicki Lee Taylor as Mrs Fleming / Veronica's Mum, Hairspray's Lizzie Bea as Martha Dunnstock, George Maddison as Kurt Kelly, Tom Scanlon as Ram Sweeney and Kieran Brown as Ram's Dad / Coach Ripper, Iván Fernández González, Jacob Fowler, Jordan Cunningham, Eliza Waters, Mary-Jean Caldwell, Hannah Lowther and Kayleigh McKnight. The final cast members will be revealed later this week.

Based on the 1980s film of the same name, Heathers follows school girl Veronica Sawyer as she tries to fit in and become part of the popular crowd. Heathers opened in London in 2018 at The Other Palace, and has since played two West End seasons at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.

The Heathers musical is by Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy, with direction by Andy Fickman, choreography by Gary Lloyd, scenic design by David Shields, lighting design by Ben Cracknell and sound design by Dan Samson.

Heathers is at The Other Palace from 25 November.
