Full casting announced for 'The Urmetazoan' at Hampstead Theatre

Directed by Anna Ledwich, the play explores the bond between sisters Alice and Abigail, who reconnect while facing an unimaginable goodbye.

The full cast has been revealed for the world premiere of Alex Rugman's The Urmetazoan. Performances begin Hampstead Downstairs on 18 September, running through 24 October.

Ben Allen (Folk) plays Will, Dorothea Myer-Bennett (Glengarry Glenross) plays Alice, and Meghan Treadway (Witness for the Prosecution) plays Abigail.

Ledwich said: “Alex has written a smart, funny, deeply relatable play in which love, family, deep space and sisterhood are put under the microscope. It is deeply exciting to be bringing it to life with such a tremendous cast and creative team.”

The full creative team includes designer Tomás Palmer, lighting designer Jonathan Chan and sound designer Sarah Spencer.
