Skylar Astin, Sarah Hyland to star in 'Cabaret' in the West End

The Pitch Perfect star and Modern Family star will succeed Jamie Muscato and Joy Woods in the Olivier-winning production from 21 September in their West End debuts.

Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect) and Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) will be the next stars of Cabaret in the West End, performing as the Emcee and Sally Bowles from 21 September. Both are making their West End debuts.

Astin's stage credits include Spring Awakening on Broadway and Little Shop of Horrors off Broadway, and Hyland has performed on Broadway in The Great Gatsby and Just in Time.

In Cabaret, they succeed Jamie Muscato and Joy Woods. As previously announced, Muscato performs until 19 September, and Woods through 5 September. From 7–19 September, the role of Sally will be played by Marina Tavolieri.

Astin will play the Emcee through 12 December 2026, while Hyland will play Sally through 23 January 2027.

Featuring songs such as "Wilkommen", "Don’t Tell Mama", and "Maybe This Time", Cabaret follows American writer Clifford Bradshaw as he moves to Berlin in the 1930s and falls for Kit Kat Club singer Sally Bowles, all as Nazism begins to take over the world both outside and inside the club.
