What happens in Mamma Mia! The Party?

At first, it may seem as if nothing is happening in Mamma Mia! The Party. You’ll be sitting at your table, waiting to hear the first ABBA chord. But then, as the waiters slowly pick up their guitars and the lights dim, get ready for the party to step up a notch.

The Mamma Mia! The Party storyline does not follow the Mamma Mia! musical storyline. Leading the proceedings are Nikos and his British wife Kate, a married couple who own a Greek taverna on the island of Skopelos. Running the restaurant with the help of their friends and family, join Nikos and Kate throughout an action-packed night at the taverna, making sure it’s a smooth-running evening, especially when the chef Debbie causes mischief.

At the same time, diners also follow the Romeo and Juliet inspired story of Adam and Konstantina, an Englishman and a Greek woman whose love is questioned as a result of their different nationalities. With the blessing of ‘Grandma’, will they be able to stay together and continue their true love?

In the final section of Mamma Mia! The Party, get ready to become a “Dancing Queen.” The courtyard tables are cleared, the chairs are stacked and the O2 becomes the hottest dancefloor, where ABBA music is played all night long. Any ABBA fan will love this part.
