Full cast and creative team announced for 'Slave Play' in the West End

The play by Jeremy O. Harris, about race, identity, and sexuality in America, stars Kit Harington, Olivia Washington, Fisayo Akindade, and Aaron Heffernan.

The full cast and creative team has been announced for the West End transfer of Jeremy O. Harris's Slave Play, which stars Kit Harington, Olivia Washington, Fisayo Akinade, and Aaron Heffernan. The play will run for a strictly limited season from 29 June-21 September at the Noël Coward Theatre.

O. Harris's play about race, identity, and sexuality in 21st century America opened in 2018 at New York Theatre Workshop before transferring to Broadway’s John Golden Theatre in 2019.

The production received 12 Tony Award nominations, breaking the record previously set by the revival of Tony Kushner's Angels in America.

The understudies completing the cast include Troy Alexander, Dimitri Gripari, Maite Jauregui, Prince Kundai and Malikah Mcherrin-Cobb.

They join the previously announced Akinade (The Crucible, Heartstopper), Harington (Game of Thrones, True West), Heffernan (Brassic, Atlanta), and Washington (I Am Virgo, Breaking) alongside James Cusati-Moyer (Six Degrees of Separation, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Chalia La Tour (The Good Fight, Elementary), Annie McNamara (Orange is the New Black, Iowa), and Irene Sofia Lucio (The Americans, Wit) who will reprise their roles from the Broadway production.

The full creative team includes Clint Ramos (set design) Dede Ayite (costume design), Jiyoun Chang (lighting), Lindsay Jones (composition and sound design), Aundrea Fudge (voice and dialect coach), Claire Warden (intimacy and fight director), Wabriya King (drama therapist) Byron Easley (US choreographer), and Jade Hackett (UK choreographer).
