The full cast has been announced for Girl From the North Country, which begins a limited run at the Old Vic in London from 24 June.

Conor McPherson's musical, which has music and lyrics by Bob Dylan, premiered at the venue in 2017, before runs in the West End and on Broadway. It has since had multiple international productions, including Canada and Australia, and returned to the West End in 2019.

The full cast includes Colin Bates as Gene Laine, Colin Connor as Nick Laine, and Chris McHallem as Dr Walker, all returning to the production, as well as Katie Brayben (Tammy Faye) as Elizabeth Laine, David Ganly (The Cherry Orchard) as Mr Burke, Steffan Harri (Shrek the Musical) as Elias Burke, Justina Kehinde (How to Fight Loneliness) as Marianne Laine, Teddy Kempner (Cabaret) as Mr Perry, Sifiso Mazibuko (A Good House) as Joe Scott, Eugene McCoy (Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812) as Reverend Marlowe, Maria Omakinwa (Sylvia) as Mrs Neilsen, Rebecca Thornhill (The Score) as Mrs Burke, and Lydia White (Matilda) as Katherine Draper.

The ensemble includes Frankie Hart, Ryan Heenan (Back to the Future), Graham Kent (Wicked), Nichola MacEvilly, and David Tarkenter (The Motive and the Cue).

McPherson said: "We're delighted to have assembled this brilliant cast for Girl from the North Country as we return to The Old Vic — our spiritual home where it all began. Many of our cast are returning to roles they performed in the West End, on Broadway, in Canada, and on tour in Ireland and UK. I couldn’t be more thrilled to see them bring these characters to life again and to hear their stunning voices perform the timeless songs of Bob Dylan. We are also excited to welcome some absolutely incredible new performers and I can’t wait to welcome audiences back to The Old Vic very soon."

Set in 1934, Girl From the North Country follows a group of wayward travellers in the community of Duluth, who are battling their way through the Great Depression.
