Following a postponement in 2020, the Lyric Hammersmith's new Aladdin pantomime will be staged this Christmas. Aladdin is at Lyric Hammersmith from 19 November - 2 January, and the full casting has been confirmed.

Qasim Mahmood will play Aladdin. Mahmood has previously starred in Tartuffe with the Royal Shakespeare Company.  Gracie McGonigal will make her stage debut in the role of Wishy, continuing the Lyric Hammersmith tradition of casting newcomers. Previous newcomers include Hamilton cast members Jamael Westman, Allyson Ava-Brown and Karl Queensborough.

Stephan Boyce will play Dave Twankey, Kate Donnachie as Emperor/Genie, Irvine Iqbal as Abanazer, Ellena Vincent as Jasmine and an ensemble made up of Caroline Adebayo, Kane Feagan, Carla-Jean Lares and Wilf Walsworth.

Aladdin at the Lyric Hammersmith will feature all of the expected Aladdin moments, with a celebration to London culture. Comedy writer Vikki Stone pens her debut pantomime of Aladdin, following starring roles in previous Lyric Hammersmith pantomimes. Abigail Graham directs, with scenic design by Lily Arnold, costume design by Kinnetia Isadore, lighting design by Sally Ferguson and choreography by Chi-San Howard.
