There are many West End musicals based on true stories, and Glory Ride at The Other Palace is the latest musical based on real events to open in London. Glory Ride is at The Other Palace from 14 to 16 November.

Based on a true story from World War Two and set in Tuscany, Glory Ride follows a Tour de France winning-cyclist, an accountant, and the Cardinal of Tuscany as they lead a rescue operation to save children. After workshops in New York and Los Angeles, the Glory Ride world premiere will take place in London.

“We call it Les Mis meets Ocean’s Eleven… This fascinating story could rewrite how the world remembers the Italian Resistance during World War II,” said Glory Ride writer Victoria Buchholz. Victoria and Todd Buchholz write the story, and Shaun Kerrison directs.

The Glory Ride London cast includes Adrianna Bertola, AJ Lewis, Alex James Ellison, Daisy Wood-Davis, James Darch, Leeroy Boone, Marcus Harman, Mark Turnbull, Matt Blaker, Neil McDermott, Olivia Brookes, Pippa Winslow, Ricardo Afonso, Tim Rogers, Tom Mussell and Yuki Sutton.
