Moira Buffini's award-winning comedy Handbagged, which began life at the Tricycle Theatre in October 2013 and subsequently transferred to the West End's Vaudeville Theatre in April 2014, will now be presented in a new production by First Knight Theatre at the Brockley Jack Studio in south-east London.

Directed by Dan Armour, the new production will run from 28 February to 11 March 2017, with an official opening set for 2 March.

"The Queen has met with every prime minister each week that she has been in London, since coming to the throne in 1952. Those meetings are not minuted and there are no other persons present, so no one really knows what was said. But supposing...
In Moira Buffini's imagined account of those weekly meetings, she concocts a delicious, bitter-sweet confection of what might well have transpired on those tricky Tuesday afternoons - complemented by a dazzling cast of national and international politicians and personalities."

The cast of Handbagged includes Sue Higginson, Pauline Armour, Sara Tortell, Fiona McGahren, Howie Ripley and Mark Steere. The creative team includes set design by Tony Reeves, lighting design by Michael Edwards, and sound design by Dan Armour.
