William Shakespeare’s Henry V play is set during the Hundred Years War, and follows events surrounding the Battle of Agincourt. "Staging Henry V with the backdrop of the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, Brexit, and Russia's invasion of Ukraine [is a moment.] This play that teems with the anxiety of royal succession, nationalism, war and imperialism, rips through the centuries and offers us a chance to reflect on our present moment in a powerfully heightened way,” said Henry V director Holly Race Roughan.
Oliver Johnstone will play Henry V, joined by Dharmesh Patel, Eleanor Henderson, Geoffrey Lumb, Georgia Frost, Helena Lymbery, James Cooney, Jon Furlong, Joséphine Callies, and Joshua Griffin.
Henry V features design by Moi Tran, costume supervision by Hattie Barsby, lighting design and candle consultancy by Azusa Ono, and composition and sound design by Max Pappenheim.
