‘I, Joan’ announces full cast at Shakespeare’s Globe

The play details Joan of Arc’s life in a 21st-century retelling.

Find out the full cast for the world premiere of Charlie Josephine’s I, Joan at Shakespeare’s Globe. I, Joan begins previews at Shakespeare’s Globe on 25 August, ahead of an opening on September 1, and performances to 22 October. Book I, Joan tickets on London Theatre.

I, Joan follows Joan or Arc during the Hundred Years War and how she became a national symbol of courage and heroism. The Bitch Boxer playwright Charlie Josephine pens I, Joan, adapting stories of the 14th century war for a modern audience.

Isobel Thom will play Joan in I, Joan, joined by Jolyon Coy as Charles, Janet Etuk as Marie, Adam Gillen as Thomas, Debbie Korley as Yolande, and Jonah Russell as Dunois. The cast includes Esmonde Cole, Natasha Cottriall, Debbie Korley, Kevin McMonagle, Baker Mukasa, and Anna Savva.

Ilinca Radulian directs I, Joan. The show eatures choreography by Jennifer Jackson, set design by Naomi Kuyck-Cohen and costume supervision by Laura Rushton.

I, Joan is the final play in the 25th anniversary summer season at Shakespeare’s Globe. The upcoming season features Henry V, Hakawatis, The Fir Tree Titus Andronicus and The Winter's Tale.
