The full cast for James Graham's newest play, Best of Enemies, has been revealed ahead of performances next month. Best of Enemies is at the Young Vic from 2 December to 22 January.

Best of Enemies is inspired by events between conservative intellectual William F Buckley Jr. and liberal writer Gore Vidal during the 1968 Presidential Election. As their debates are broadcast across America, beliefs are challenged with the advent of political idolatry. The Best of Enemies play is inspired by Morgan Neville and Robert Gordon's 2015 documentary, which starred John Lithgow and Kelsey Grammer.

Best of Enemies is the latest play by James Graham. Graham's previous plays include Quiz, Labour of Love and Ink. The Best of Enemies cast is led by Charles Edwards as Gore Vidal and David Harewood as William F. Buckley Jr. Margo Cargill, Emilio Doorgasingh, Clare Foster, Tom Godwin, John Hodgkinson, Justina Kehinde, Syrus Lowe, Kevin McMonagle and Sam Otto complete the company.

Jeremy Herrin directs Best of Enemies, with scenic and costume design by Bunny Christie, lighting design by Paule Constable and sound design by Tom Gibbons.

Towards the end of the run, Best of Enemies will be broadcast live, with performances between 20 - 22 January available to stream worldwide.
