Aspects of Love follows individuals caught in romantic entanglements over 17 years. Ball, who originated the role of Alex, now plays George in the revival.

“I’m thrilled to announce that the role of Alex in Aspects of Love will be played by Jamie Bogyo. He’s tall, good looking, sings like a dream and is half my age…..I hate him! He will be amazing,” said Ball.

Bogyo will play Alex. He made his West End debut as Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical at the Piccadilly Theatre.

The pair performed the hit Aspects of Love song, "Love Changes Everything", on BBC Radio 2 on 2 February. Listen to Michael Ball and Jamie Bogyo sing together here.

Jonathan Kent directs. The musical features a book by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and lyrics by Don Black and Charles Hart.

Aspects of Love is at the Lyric Theatre.
