Louise Redknapp delays 9 to 5 role due to injury
It has been announced that Louise Redknapp has had to delay her upcoming performances in 9 to 5, after an injury earlier this week.
Louise Redknapp was scheduled to appear in 9 to 5 as Violet alongside a cast including Bonnie Langford, Brian Conley and Amber Davies, with Redknapp set to make her West End debut from 28th January.
The actress set to step in to play the role during Louise's absence will be announced shortly.
In a statement commenting on Redknapp's withdrawal from the show, producers said: "Due to an injury this week, Louise Redknapp has had to temporarily withdraw from performing the role of Violet in 9 to 5 The Musical. The recovery time recommended means Louise is no longer able to properly rehearse the show in the remaining time left before opening.
"Together we have made the difficult decision to delay Louise's start date in the show. We hope that Louise will start performances sometime towards the end of March/early April 2019.
"Everyone at 9 to 5 wishes Louise a speedy recovery and we look forward to welcoming her back."
On Twitter, Redknapp apologised to fans, adding that she has fractured her wrist.
Redknapp's replacement and the date of her return to the production are set to be announced in due course.
9 to 5 is at the Savoy Theatre from 28th January.
9 to 5 tickets are available now.
