Martin McDonagh’s ‘The Pillowman’ reveals full West End cast

Steve Pemberton and Lily Allen will play Tupolski and Katurian in the Olivier Award-winning drama. The play will return to London for the first time in 20 years.

Find out the full cast for the West End premiere of The Pillowman at the Duke of York’s Theatre. Previews begin on 10 June, with an opening night on 21 September, and performances to 2 Sept. 2023.

Lily Allen will play Katurian, a writer who is interrogated after her short stories bear resemblance to a series of local murders. Steve Pemberton plays Tupolski, with Paul Kaye as Ariel, Matthew Tennyson as Michal, Rebecca Lee as Mother (and understudy Katurian), Daniel Millar as Father (and understudy Ariel and Tupolski), Carlotta Di Gregori as understudy Mother), and David Angland as Blind Man (and understudy Michal and Father).

Ruby Siddle, Madelynne Mills, and Sophia Cullingford share the role of Child 1. Lexi Anna Scott, Darcy Crosby, and Lillie Stocker share the role of Child 2.

Matthew Dunster directs, with a creative team including Anna Fleischle (set and costume design), Neil Austin (lighting design), and Ian Dickinson for Autograph (sound design).
