‘Mary Poppins’ new London cast announced, led by Zizi Strallen and Charlie Stemp

The Disney musical reopens at the Prince Edward Theatre next month.

The full casting for the West End reopening of Mary Poppins has been announced. The Olivier-Award winning revival of Mary Poppins resumes performances at the Prince Edward Theatre from 7 August, with Mary Poppins ticketson sale now.

They will join the previously confirmed Zizi Strallen and Charlie Stemp, who reprise the roles of Mary Poppins and Bert respectively. Principal casting is completed by Charlie Anson as George Banks, Amy Griffiths as Winifred Banks, Petula Clark as Bird Woman, Liz Robertson as Miss Andrew, Claire Machin as Mrs Brill, Jack North as Robertson Ay and Paul F. Monaghan as Admiral Boom and Bank Chairman.

The ensemble cast for Mary Poppins is completed by Yves Adang, Angeline Bell, Lydia Boulton, Alison Connell, Adam Davidson, Danielle Delys, Joseph Dockree, Charlie Donnelly, Stan Doughty, Glen Facey, Davide Fienauri, Harry Francis, Lyndsey Gardiner, Ian Gareth-Jones, Maria Garrett, Mark Goldthorp, Jacqueline Hughes, Emma Hunter, Jason Kajdi, Sam Lathwood, Jordan Livesey, Tania Mathurin, Laura Medforth, Alex Pinder, Ben Redfern, Clare Rickard, Lucie-Mae Sumner, Scott Waugh and Monique Young.

The role of Jane Banks will be shared between Katie Cox, Rose Dawson, Megan Donovan, Megan Judge, Ellie Kit Jones and Maddison Thew. The role of Michael Banks will be alternated between Logan Clark, George Hamblin, Charlie Irwin, Charlie Murphy, Frankie Treadaway and Fred Wilcox.

Based on the PL Travers novels and the subsequent Disney film starring Julie Andrews,Mary Poppins follows the titular nanny as she looks after Jane and Michael Banks. Accompanied by jack of all trades Bert, they go on a series of adventures across London and fictional worlds.Mary Poppins features music by the Sherman Brothers including "Feed the Birds" and "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious."
