Ria Jones and Sally Ann Triplett to star in Victoria Wood's 'Fourteen Again'

The new musical features music and lyrics by Victoria Wood, with a book by Everybody’s Talking About Jamie writer Tom MacRae, and follows Peggy as she reconnects with her childhood friend Lou at their local Slimming Club.

Ria Jones and Sally Ann Triplett will star in the London premiere of Fourteen Again this winter when the show begins performances at the Menier Chocolate Factory. The production will run from 21 November through 27 February 2027.

The new musical features music and lyrics by Victoria Wood, with a book by Everybody’s Talking About Jamie writer Tom MacRae, and follows Peggy as she reconnects with her childhood friend Lou at their local Slimming Club.

The show had its premiere at The Victoria Wood Theatre in Bowness-on-Windermere this spring, where Jones and Triplett first performed the roles. Both actors have history with Victoria Wood: Triplett created the role of Miss Berta in the original West End production of the musical Acorn Antiques: The Musical!, while Jones played Mrs Overall in the show's first national tour.

The creative team includes director Jonathan O’Boyle, musical supervisor, arranger and co-orchestrator Nigel Lilley, choreographer Sammy Murrray, set designer Roger Glossop, costume designer Caroline Hughes, lighting designer Jason Taylor, sound designer Sam Glossop, and musical director and co-orchestrator Archie McMorran.
