Ruthie Henshall and Adam Garcia to star in ‘42nd Street’
The acclaimed actors will play Dorothy Brock and Julian Marsh in the musical revival, playing a four-week summer season at Sadler’s Wells as part of a national tour.

Ruthie Henshall will play Dorothy Brock. The actress won an Olivier Award for She Loves Me. She's also played Grizabella in Cats, Fantine in Les Miserables, as well as Roxie Hart, Velma Kelly and Mama Morton in Chicago.
Adam Garcia plays Julian Marsh. He’s a twice Olivier-nominated actor for Saturday Night Fever and Kiss Me, Kate. He recently placed second in the The Masked Dancer.
Les Dennis plays Bert Barry, alongside Nicole-Lily Baisden as Peggy Sawyer, Sam Lips as Billy Lawlor, with Erica-Jayne Alden, George Beet, Charlie Bishop, Briana Craig, Ashleigh Graham, Alyn Hawke, Aimee Hodnett, Connor Hughes, Sarah-Marie Maxwell, Ben Middleton, Benjamin Mundy, Anthony Ofoegbu and Jessica Wright.
The 42nd Street musical follows Peggy Sawyer, a young ingenue who dreams of her name in lights in New York City. When a director spots her talent, she's cast in the chorus line. Quickly, she's then taking over the lead role, but can she become a star?
42nd Street features songs by Harry Warren and Al Dubin including “Lullaby of Broadway,” “We’re in the Money,” and “Shuffle Off to Buffalo.”
Jonathan Church directs, with choreography and design by Bill Deamer and Rob Jones, lighting design by Ben Cracknell, and sound design by Ian Dickinson and Gareth Tucker.
