The UK premiere of Scooter Pietsch’s Windfall will open in London in 2023. Windfall begins previews at Southwark Playhouse Borough from 9 February, with an opening night on 14 February, and performances to 11 March.

The Windfall comedy follows a group of office workers who risk their lives on a $1 billion lottery ticket to escape their boss, but their lives are changed as they consider how they would hypothetically split the jackpot.

Scooter Pietsch is an Emmy-nominated composer. He’s worked on original music for dozens of reality TV shows. The Play That Goes Wrong director Mark Bell directs Windfall in London. The show features set and costume design by Rachel Stone, and lighting design by Robbie Butler. Casting will be revealed at a later date.

Southwark Playhouse will open a second venue in the new year. The current theatre will be renamed Southwark Playhouse Borough, and a second venue, Southwark Playhouse Elephant, opens soon. Find out more about Southwark Playhouse.
