After the world premiere of The Prince of Egypt was cut short at the Dominion Theatre, the epic musical will reopen for performances this summer. The Prince of Egypt will initially open with socially distanced performances from 1 July - 4 September, and then opening up for full capacity performances from 6 September - 8 Jan. 2022.

The Prince of Egypt tickets for performances from 1 July - 4 September are now available.

Producers DreamWorks Theatricals, Michael McCabe and Neil Laidlaw said: "Following the latest UK Government guidance on the easing of lockdown restrictions, we are delighted to confirm the return of The Prince of Egypt to the Dominion Theatre... The sheer size of this historic venue allows for full social distancing and, as soon as all legal limits on social contact are removed, we will return to our full audience capacity at the earliest opportunity."

In an extended curtain call at the first performance back on 1 July, producers said: "the future remains fragile," while celebrating the world class company and their pride at remounting the show.

Based on the story in the Book of Exodus, which was adapted into a 1998 DreamWorks animation film of the same name, The Prince of Egypt tells of Moses, who leads the Israelites out of Egypt. The musical features a book by Philip LaZebnik, with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz, including the Academy Award-winning song "When You Believe".

The Prince of Egypt company includes Luke Brady as Moses, Liam Tamne as Ramses, Christine Allado as Tzipporah and Alexia Khadime as Miriam. Joe Dixon plays Seti, with Debbie Kurup as Tuya, Mercedesz Csampai as Yocheved, Adam Pearce as Hotep, Tanisha Spring as Nefertari and Silas Wyatt-Barke as Aaron.

In a review for LondonTheatre.co.uk, The Prince of Egypt includes "moments of spectacle, like the parting of the Red Sea... and undoubtedly athletic choreography."
