Further casting for the world premiere of Stephen Beresford’s The Southbury Child was named earlier this week. The Southbury Child is at the Bridge Theatre from 1 July to 27 August, and The Southbury Child tickets are on sale now.

The Southbury Child play centres on David Highland, a vicar who struggles to keep a grip on his parish and finds himself isolated from public opinion. To get on everyone’s good side and be accepted by the town once more, David must fight for everything he stands for.

Alex Jennings will play David Highland in The Southbury Child. He is joined by Holly Atkins as Joy Sampson, Josh Finan as Lee Southbury, Jack Greenlees as Craig Connor, Jo Herbert as Susannah Highland, Phoebe Nicholls as Mary Highland, Racheal Ofori as Naomi Highland and Sarah Twomey as Tina Soutbury, with further casting to be announced.

Nicholas Hytner directs The Southbury Child, joined by a creative team including set design by Mark Thompson, costume design by Yvonne Milnes, lighting design by Max Narula, and sound design by George Dennis.
